I was born in Mexico City on December first, 1975. My
father used to have a lot of cameras and I remember that black and white
photography was a big part of his life and his passion.
All my life I always had these ideas that I would like to be creative on
photo paper. When I was nine years old, I had my first camera. At that
time I had an accident, an experience that changed my life, with a
multiple exposure. This situation made me think a lot about photography,
about cameras and how they worked and operated.
I started my carrier in Guadalajara, Jalisco at I.T.E.S.O., and focused
my carrier in the image process. I started shooting black and white and
E-6.
Actually, some years before I came to the university, I started
traveling all around Mexico working as a salesman and I discovered about
the beauty of my country. I had a Fuji-650 camera, 35mm with a 50mm lens,
it was with this mechanical instrument, that I started to shoot
everything I saw of beauty.
I was a good salesman and I was making good money, but more was my
passion for photography, for the image, to capture a moment in time
forever.
For some eight years now, every time that I have a chance, I travel
around my country shooting the Indian cultures and the scenic landscapes.
After I finished my carrier, a lot of people were asking me for
photography as a favor. I found that was time for me to start making
photography a living. |
